Strata Community Videos by Wattblock Wattblock is highly regarded for providing quick-start energy reports and independent advice to strata committees, strata managers and local councils, aimed to reduce common area energy costs and increase property values. Since the start of COVID-19, Wattblock has created a suite of free online video resources for its community addressing hot topics including solar, batteries, EV charging, hot water and more.During Sydney’s first COVID-19 lockdown, many local councils approached Wattblock to switch from face-to-face sustainability training for strata committee members to delivering these safely online via zoom webinars. These webinar recordings and videos provide strata committee members, strata managers and local council with an easily digestible, narrated version of detailed reports, which can be watched at a time that suits them.This change in training led to Wattblock creating a wide range of useful strata webinars on Solar, LED Lighting, Hot Water and Ventilation for Mosman, Lane Cove, Ryde, Ku-ring-gai and Inner West councils.Following this, Strata Community Association (SCA) and not-for-profits such as Zero Emissions Sydney North also contacted Wattblock to deliver online sustainability content for strata buildings.More than 50 different videos have now been posted to Wattblock’s YouTube channel covering additional topics such as Electric Vehicle Charging. In the past year, there have been more than 5,000 YouTube video views, with people living in strata schemes also making use of online video resources to understand more about futureproofing their apartment buildings and making the transition to sustainable energy.Wattblock has assisted over 1,000 multi-tenant buildings throughout Australia and has helped upgrade over 100 strata buildings for energy efficiency and renewable energy.
